2023 · My high school in San Diego had a graduating class of over 1700 (and a three year enrollment that peaked out near 4000). I forget the exact figure, but it was something like 1738 or 1758. When the 30th reunion booklet came, I was surprised to see only about a dozen names in the "In Memoriam" section.
